Geography
Location and landscape
The expansion of an area of 10,457 km ² comprising the department located in the central south of the country. While the south of the department is flat, the north and east is characterized by a hilly landscape, which merges into the Cuchilla Grande in the east, the main ridge of the country.
Mineral resources

History

Population
