Foni Jarrol
Foni Jarrol is one of 35 districts - the second highest level of administrative divisions - the West African nation of Gambia. It is one of nine districts in the West Coast region.

The name is derived from Foni, a former small kingdom.

Population
According to a survey of 1993 ( former census ), the largest ethnic group of the Jola with a share of around four -tenths, followed by the Mandinka and the Fula. The distribution in detail: 24.4% Mandinka, Fula 20 %, 0.5%, Wolof, Jola 38%, 0.1% Serahule, 0.5% Serer, Aku 0%, 0.3% Manjago, 0.1 Bambara % and 16.2 % other ethnicities.
