Francisco Ventoso

Francisco José Ventoso Alberdi ( born May 6, 1982 in Reinosa ) is a Spanish cyclist.

Career

Ventoso regarded as a good sprinter. It was in 2004 Saunier Duval Prodir - professional. He succeeded in the first year as a professional cyclist a stage of the Tour of Qatar and the USPRO Championship, winning the race for the U.S. Championship. His greatest achievement was to win a stage at the Vuelta a Espana 2006.

In May 2008 Ventoso was tested positive for furosemide and suspended for nine months.

In May 2011 Ventoso won a demanding sprint finish at the Giro d' Italia in Fiuggi Terme. A year later he succeeded another success at the Tour of Italy, a similarly serious goal spurt in Frosinone.
