Fray Mamerto Esquiú Department

The department Fray Mamerto Esquiú located in the center of the province of Catamarca in northwestern Argentina and is one of the 16 administrative units in the province.

It is bordered to the north by the Department of Ambato, on the east by the department of PACLIN, to the south by the department of Valle Viejo and to the west by the Departamento Capayán.

The capital of the department is San Jose.
