Freisbach is the northernmost municipality in the district of Germersheim, and one of the small towns. The location in the fertile Gäuebene and off the busy lines have preserved the place its rural character.

History
Is first mentioned Freisbach in 1179 in the Codex of the abbot Edelin by White Castle.
