Neupotz

Geography
The community is located about 2 km west of the Rhine at one of the many loops that were to Altrhein by the Tulla'sche straightening of the Rhine. Parts of, located towards the Rhine, are so-called forest floodplain forest, which is often under water.
Through the district Neupotz flow in the north and south of the Erlenbach Otterbach. At or near the Old Rhine, there are several standing waters, including Setzfeldsee and Upper Flätigsee.

History
The village Pfotz was first mentioned in 1270. 1522 were swept away by the construction of a dam at Jockgrim during floods the shores of the old fishing village Pfotz. In 1535 the inhabitants of Pfotz built on the western Gemarkungsgrenze a new village called Neupfotz. On 7 February 1935, the village name was changed to Neupfotz Neupotz. The name comes from the Latin purteus, that is, Puddle, swamp land.

Hoard

In Neupotz the oldest shoe found in Germany. Nuclear power station

Polder

Floating Village
