Genuin (record label)

GENUIN is an independent classical music label and a mobile recording studio classic in Leipzig. The word " genuine " comes from Latin and means " innate, genuine, unadulterated ".

History

The company was founded in 1998 in Detmold under the name " GENUIN music production " of the two sound engineers Holger Busse and Alfredo Lasheras Hakobian. Five years later, in January 2003, was the classical music label " GENUIN " Germany far with mainly own recordings into sales.

2005, the company moved from Detmold to Leipzig, resulting in a lively cooperation with the MDR and the Gewandhaus revealed. In January 2006, the mixer Michael Silberhorn joined the company.

In 2009 GENUIN music production was divided into the classical music label " Genuin classics" and the music production company " GENUIN recording group".

Repertoire and Awards

In addition to the entire classical repertoire, from Renaissance to Modern, the label focuses on the publication of rare works through and the promotion of young talent. The some 300 published classical CDs are sold through the CD stores and on download platforms worldwide.

Recordings of GENUIN have been awarded the ECHO Klassik, the Diapason d' Or and nominations for the Grammy Award and the MIDEM Classical Award.
