Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest 1964

The West German national preliminary to the Euro Vision Song Contest 1964 was held in Frankfurt am Main on 11 January 1964. There moderated Hilde Nocker. For the first time in the history of the German preliminary decisions to the preliminary decision contributed a song for, supplemented by the respective host city of the song contest, in this case, Copenhagen.

The hr instructed the top six composers of the last year's preliminary decision, the show Heidi Brühl sings to write for this years title.

There were ten "professional" jurors who were awarded five points, and 50 lay people who could ever forgive a point. In the end, however, only the top three places were published.

Nora Nova arrived in Copenhagen only to the last place, even with zero points.
