Geography

Geographical location

Gremsdorf located in Aischtal, about a mile west of the highway exit Hoechstadt -east of the A3 motorway Würzburg- Nuremberg. The community has about 1,500 inhabitants and covers an area of ​​about 13 square kilometers.

History

Gremsdorf is a rural residential community. The name goes back to the village of Gremi and can still be seen today as a bunch ways Village from the Carolingian period. The mill Gremsdorf was already mentioned in 1326, when it was acquired by Wolfram Steward of Herzogenaurach and the brothers Heinrich and Hermann Steward to Nainsdorf.
