Green is a municipality in the Vogtland / Saxony.

Geography

The small spa resort is located around 700 m above sea level in a wooded area. Directly at Gruenbach the Wendelstein rises (732 m ), a quartzite cliff. When the district Muldenberg the Mulde to drinking water reservoir Muldenberg is jammed. The highest point of the municipality is located about 842 m above sea level on the western slope of the keel.

The municipality consists of the villages Siehdichfür ( on July 1, 1948 incorporated ) and Muldenberg ( March 1, 1994 incorporated ).

Green Brook was first mentioned in 1524 as " newes dörfflein " before the " green Baechel ".
