Gunhild Haugen

Gunhild Haugen ( born June 1, 1972 in Sandefjord as Gunhild Halle) is a former Norwegian middle and long distance runner.

She was twice national champion in the 1500 m (1996, 2000), six times more than 5000 m ( 1996, 1997, 1999-2002), twice in the 10,000 m ( 1999, 2000 ) and twice in cross country (1994, 1996).

At the World Athletics Championships 1997 in Athens, she came over 5000 m to 14th place. In 1999 she won the Grand Prix of Prague about 5 km.

In 2000, she came at the World Cross Country Championships ranked 40th when 10,000 - meter race of the Olympic Games in Sydney, they did not reach the target.

The following year, she was disqualified at the World Championships in Edmonton from about 5000 m in the flow and ran the 10,000 m one on the 18th Place.

In the last year of competitive sport career, she finished 26th place at the World Half Marathon Championships in Brussels and was at the European Athletics Championships in Munich each eighth in the 5000m and 10,000 m.

Gunhild Haugen 1.66 meters tall and weighed about 48 kg competition times. It was from her father Per Hall, a participant in the 1972 Olympic Games, trained and launched for the IL Runar.
