Günnigfeld, Südfeldmark

Günnigfeld is a district of Bochum. It is located in the north of the former city Wattenscheid, now in the district Wattenscheid, and is adjacent to Gelsenkirchen and Herne.

Previously, there was a colliery Zeche Hannover in the south of Günnigfeld. Today, it is the green area Kruppwald. The workers lived in the " colony Hanover " with the still existing colliery houses. You can find them in the street group with male first name.

On April 1, 1926 Günnigfeld was incorporated into Wattenscheid. Small parts of the territory changed to Gelsenkirchen and pan - Eickelmann.
