Haute- Sorne (German Sornegau ) is formed on 1 January 2013 municipality in the canton of Jura in Switzerland.
It merged the former communes of Lower Court, Courfaivre, Glovelier, Soulce and Undervelier.
In the vote on February 5, 2012, the voters of five of the seven municipalities surveyed said the majority of the fusion, and Boécourt Saulcy majority voted against it.
The name Haute- Sorne is derived from the river Sorne which flows through the region and takes the sample, which was founded on January 1, 2009 Church Lower Allaine on. Haute- Sorne is well established as a name; so run a football club from the region, the common secondary school, the fire department and the local Raiffeisenbank this place name.
