Heilberscheid
Heilberscheid is a municipality in the Westerwald district in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Montabaur.

Geographical location
The community lies in the Westerwald between Koblenz and Limburg an der Lahn in the Nassau Nature Park.
History
Heilberscheid was first documented in 1362.
To the west of today's municipal area, the village Sespenroth whose inhabitants emigrated to America in 1853 was.

Parish council
The local council in Heilberscheid consists of twelve council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.

The coat of arms description reads: In the middle of the crest a Madonna figure is shown that in a Grotto, with the model of healing Bersch Eider Lady Chapel (built 1889-1891 ) is located. The hornbeam branches refer to the considerable stocks of hornbeam trees in Healing Bersch Eider forest. The colors of the background, red and silver, of armorial colors of the Electorate of Trier.
