Geography

The town lies north of the A 3, five kilometers from Montabaur. Through the municipal area of the soil flows Ahrbach.

At the bottom are the dwelling places Niederahr Station, Good Born and Wiesenmuhle.

Neighboring communities include Ruppach - Goldhausen, Holy Roth, Moschheim, Niederahr and Meudt.

History

The church today is ground (later called Montabaur ) in the area of the spell and parish Humbach first described 930-959. The place was first documented in 1212 in Liber annalium iurium in which the extensive property of the archbishops of Trier was written under the name " Bodime ".
