Heinz Hohner

Heinz Hohner ( born January 19, 1907 in Fuerth, † May 17, 1967 in Frankfurt am Main ) was a German politician ( CSU).

Hohner was born the son of a chief prosecutor, studied law in Munich, Kiel, Berlin, Freiburg and Würzburg, where he also received his doctorate, and did his internship, among others, in the Augsburg city council from. In the years 1932 and 1933 he was assessor in the Reich Postal Directorate in Augsburg and in 1935 he was a legal clerk a Stuttgart insurance company.

In 1945, we appointed him as acting for District of Künzelsau, Wuerttemberg. In this role he was also in 1946 the Provisional People's representation in the state of Württemberg -Baden. Hohner was elected on August 1, 1946, Mayor of Augsburg, but resigned in October 1947 by the Office. In the years 1947 and 1948, he was then president of the main post office in Munich. Most recently, he headed the German Postreklame in Frankfurt am Main.

In honor of Hohner's the city of Augsburg in 2000, named a street in Augsburg textile district after him.
