Helen Alfredsson

Christine Helen Alfredsson ( born April 9, 1965 in Gothenburg ) is a Swedish Berufsgolferin and two -time Major winner.

The six-time Swedish Amateur champion ( 1981-84, 1986 and 1988) at the beginning of 1989 Proette and started in the same year, to play on the Ladies European Tour ( LET). In its first season, Alfredsson was elected Rookie of the Year ( best newcomer ), and a year later she won a ladies - Major, the Women's British Open.

Since 1992 she plays on the North American LPGA Tour, where she has won five tournaments, including the 1993 Nabisco Dinah Shore another major of the women's golf. Also from the LPGA, she was awarded in its first season in 1992 as Rookie of the Year.

As a Life Member ( Life Member ) of the LET Alfredsson continues to play regularly several tournaments on the European Tour and has to have a total of twelve victories here. In 1998, she won the money list.

The Solheim Cup, it was represented from 1990 to 2002 throughout the European team. In 2007, she was captain (non -playing captain ) of the European selection.

Helen Alfredsson is married to NHL hockey player Kent Nilsson and domiciled in Orlando, Florida.
