Herdern

Herder is a municipality in the district of Frauenfeld in the canton of Thurgau in Switzerland.

Geography

Herder is on the lake ridge between Frauenfeld and the submarine. The municipality comprises the villages of Lanzenneunforn and Herder as well as the hamlets Wilen, Ammenhausen, ball Mayrhofen and Liebenfels.

History

In the vicinity of the Roman road between ad fines ( Pfyn ) and Tasgetium ( Eschenz ) located, the place was inhabited AD already in the first centuries, as excavations have shown. Attractions

The love rock castle in Lanzenneunforn dates from the 13th century and is now in private ownership.
