Geography

Geographical Location

Heuchlingen located in Leintal on the edge of the eastern Swabian Alb between Schwäbisch Gmünd and eels. The flax separates the municipality Heuchlingen into two approximately equal halves.

Neighboring communities

The municipality is bordered to the north by Schechingen and the district of the municipality Abtsgmuend Laubach, on the east by the county town of Aalen and Essingen, to the south and Mögglingen Böbingen an der Rems and to the west by the district of Horn Iggingen and the community Goeggingen.

History

Heuchlingen was first documented in 1236. Since 1603, the village belonged to the prince provost Ellwangen.
