Hitachinaka, Ibaraki

Hitachinaka (Japaneseひたちなか 市, -shi) is a city in Ibaraki prefecture in Japan.

Geography

Hitachinaka located south of Hitachi and north of Mito.

Economy

Along the National Road 6 there are numerous industries, including especially electrical products, such as drives for electric locomotives, motor controls, elevators and escalators, production facilities for engineering and manufacturing technology, as well as various equipment for power supply and power engineering, which are manufactured here. Several companies in the automotive industry and transportation, such as cars, heavy vehicles and construction equipment, as well as nanotechnology developers have settled here as well.
