Hollis Price

Hollis Price ( born October 29, 1979 in New Orleans, Louisiana ) is an American professional basketball player who was until February 2011 in the National Basketball League in Alba Berlin under contract.

Price is a basket- dangerous playmaker who understands but good use as a template donor his teammates. At the highest European level in the ULEB Euro League he was in the 2007/2008 season for the Lithuanian representatives Lietuvos Rytas third best scorer and seventh- best assist provider per game.

College

Price played in the NCAA for the Sooners of the University of Oklahoma and was one of the most consistent players in the history of this team. As a junior, he could see the Sooners in 2002 lead to the Final Four of the NCAA Championship. A year later he was elected along with Carmelo Anthony and Jason Gardner in his senior year as a senior in the All-American Second Team the best college player of the year. Nevertheless, he was like Gardner, a player of comparable body size, not included in the 2003 NBA Draft, which is why he began his career as a professional basketball player in Europe.

Professional in Europe

At his first stop in Europe, he played in France and winner of the 2004 Le Mans Sarthe Basket (MSB ) French Cup winners and semi-finalists in the Championship of LNB Pro A. MSB he was in the following season, the first in the main round, but resigned with the team already in the play-off quarter-final against SLUC Nancy Basket. He subsequently joined the National Basketball League to Alba Berlin, where he was with Alba in the 2005/ 06 German cup winner and subject as main round first in the championship final Rhein Energie Cologne. After a year in the ACB league in Spain, he moved to Lithuania in the capital Vilnius Lietuvos Rytas, with which he was runner-up in the country and vice-champion of the Baltic Basketball League Zalgiris Kaunas behind each. For half a year he played in the Super League Russia before moving to Italy in January 2009 to Armani Jeans Milan, with whom he was at the end of the 2008/ 09 runners-up in the Lega Basket Serie A. In February 2010, he returned to Germany in the BBL to help the Artland Dragons at making the play -offs for the German championship. For the season 2010/2011 he returned to Alba Berlin and received a one-year contract.

On 8 February 2011, his contract on the part of Alba Berlin was dissolved. Previously there had been a change of coach in Berlin. Muli cat urine, which took over the office of Luka Pavićević was not convinced that Price was sacrificing for Alba Berlin.
