Hořany

Hořany ( German Horschan ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers south-west of Sadská and belongs to fulltext your real estates.

Geography

Hořany located between the valleys of Šembera and Milčický creek on the Bohemian panel. Southwest of the summit Kouřimka rises (247 m). Located northwest of the village several sand pits are operated. In the north of the railway line from Prague to Kolin and D 11/Europastraße 67 motorway runs, there is also the next exit 25 Sadská.

Neighboring towns are Třebestovice and Vycherov in the north, Milčice in the northeast, Tatce in the east, in the southeast Skramníky, Žhery in the south, Lstiboř the southwest, Klučov in the west and Poříčany and Cerna Obora in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village took place in 1282nd

After the abolition of patrimonial Hořany formed in 1850 a municipality in the district Český Brod. In 1961 the congregation to fulltext your real estates and 1980, the annexation to Poříčany. Since 1990, the community is Hořany again.
