Husum, Lower Saxony
Husum is a municipality in the district of Nienburg / Weser in Lower Saxony. The community belongs to the Samtgemeinde Mittelweser, which has its headquarters in the town of Stolzenau.

Geography
Husum is located in the Natural Park Steinhude south of Nienburg and north of the Steinhuder sea.

History
The first mention of Husum in a document from the year 1250. A fire destroyed in 1774, a large part of the village and erected in 1250 church building.
Together with the villages Bolsehle, United Varlingen And Sheshan Sing Hausen Husum was summarized in the course of municipal reform on 1 March 1974 on the new community Husum and integrated into the Municipality country mountains that rose in the Samtgemeinde Mittelweser again in 2011.

Culture and sights
- Built in 1200 the church was destroyed by fire in 1774. In the years 1776-1778 the St. Jakobi church was rebuilt in its present form.
