Geography
The municipality is situated on the northern edge of the Linsburg domaniale Grinder Forest, about 10 minutes drive south of the county town Nienburg / Weser.
History
In a document from 1263 is made to a noble family ' de Castle Line ". In 1675, the Dukes of Calenberg could build their Linsburger hunting lodge.
In 2003 Linsburg celebrated its 800th anniversary, which goes back to a document from the year 1203 with the first mention of the place Linsburg. At the train station was built in the 1950s, a completed settlement.

Coat of arms
The coat of arms was approved on 6 December 1983 by the county.
