Ilia Chernousov
Ilya Grigoryevich Tschernoussow [ tʃ ʲ ɛrnɔ'usɔv ] (Russian Илья Григорьевич Черноусов; born August 7, 1986 in Novosibirsk ) is a Russian cross-country skiers.
Sporting career
His first international assignment had Tschernoussow in April 2004 at the Continental Cup in Murmansk. He finished there the 16th place over 15 km classic. At the Junior World Championship 2005 in Rovaniemi, he was 19, about 10 km freestyle. With the Russian season he won the gold medal. The following year, he won the silver medal in the pursuit competition at the Junior World Championship 2006 in Kranj. About 10 km classic he finished fifth. His first try at the Cross Country World Cup had Tschernoussow in the 2006/07 season in Gällivare, where he secured a 26 over 15 km freestyle his first World Cup points. At the Tour de Ski 2006/2007, he fought his way to the 18th place. His first podium finish he secured with the Russian squadron that won the World Cup in Davos. In the U23 World Championships in Tarvisio, he won the silver medal in the 15 km freestyle. In the sprint and pursuit competition, he took the place five and four. In times he again won the silver medal at the U23 World Cup 2008 over a distance of 30 km Freestyle ( mass start ). In the 2008 /09 season he won in Rybinsk our first race in cross-country skiing -Eastern -Europe - Cup. At the Russian Championships, he secured the silver medal in the pursuit competition.
In the Nordic World Ski Championships 2011 in Oslo, he was in the Pursuit of third parties. Also in 2011, he won the three stages over 160 km leading Arctic Circle Race. After only comes to his 2011/12 season mediocre results, he went for two races in the Alpine Cup and won the sprint and individual in St. Ulrich am Pillersee.
Back in the World Cup ended Tschernoussow the Tour de Ski 2011/2012 on the 10th Place. After eighth in Otepaeae Tschernoussow erreichtre in Rybinsk twice as runner the podium. Another podium finish he missed finishing fourth just barely in Szklarska Poręba. In the 2012/13 season he started with fifth place at the season opener in Kuusamo. At the Tour de Ski 2012/2013 Tschernoussow again reached the 10th place overall. When Skiathlon in Sochi, he stood in second on the podium again.
In the Nordic World Ski Championships 2013 in Val di Fiemme Tschernoussow top rankings clearly failed. In Skiathlon he came as 25 to the finish. In individual over 15 km, it only reached rank 40 end of the season in Falun, he landed again in sixth. As he finished eighth at the start of the 2013/14 season, the Tour de Ski 2013/2014.
At the Olympic Winter Games 2014 Tschernoussow missed in Skiathlon fifth just his first Olympic medal. In the race over 50km, he won the bronze medal.
