Illya Nyzhnyk

Illja Nyschnyk (Ukrainian Ілля Нижник, FIDE name Illya Nyzhnyk; born September 27, 1996, Vinnytsia ) is a Ukrainian chess player. He bears the title of Grand Master.

After Illja Nyschnyk vice - european champion of the age group in 2006 was 10 U, he won the B group of the Moscow Opens, where he won an Elo performance of 2633 at the age of ten years in 2007. In the same year he became European Champion and Vice World Champion in the age group under 12 years. The following year he also won the Junior European Championship under 16 years of age. His first norm for the Grandmaster title in 2008 Nyschnyk earned through his tournament victory at the sixth Nabokov Memorial in Kiev, before eleven other participants, with 8.5 points from 11 games. With PHI Kievchess he was in 2009 Ukrainian team champion. In Germany, he plays from the season 2010/ 11 for the SG Porz. His third Grandmaster norm, he scored at the Open in Groningen in January 2011. He is the youngest of the Grand Master at the time of the ceremony, which took place in February 2011.
