Ivo Minář

Ivo Minář ( born May 21, 1984 in Prague, then Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech tennis player.

Career

The right-handed began his professional career in 2002 and has so far in 2009 win the doubles competition of the tournament from Munich a title on the ATP World Tour. In addition, he managed to reach the final of the 2005 single competition from Sydney, but he lost in straight sets against Lleyton Hewitt. His highest world ranking in singles, he reached rank 62 in July 2009, in a double with room 120 in May 2006.

In July 2009, Ivo Minář was tested positive for doping agent methylhexaneamine and then locked by the ITF for eight months.

Davis Cup

Since 2007 Minář plays for the Czech Davis Cup team. In the 2009 season he achieved with this the final, where they were subject, however, clear in Barcelona Spain with 0:5. Minář merely came in the quarterfinals against Argentina used where he lost to smooth in the last individual match against Juan Martín del Potro. 2012, the Czech team qualified for the second time for the final, which was held in Prague. Again the enemy was Spain, which this time was defeated 3-2. Minář came again just to use one, again against Argentina. As early as 2009 it was in its use to the last, already irrelevant for the final encounter. Against Juan Mónaco he lost to del Potro as already in two sets. In the final against Spain Minář was indeed in the squad, but was not used. Czech Republic in 2013 defended his title successfully. Minář was in the first two games against Switzerland and Kazakhstan in the squad, but came to no game used.
