Jablonec nad Jizerou

Jablonec nad Jizerou ( German Jablonetz ) is a city in Okres Semily, Liberec Region in the Czech Republic. It lies at the foot of the Giant Mountains.

History

The town was first mentioned in 1398. 1899 got Gablonz ( Iser) a station on the local railway Starkenbach - Rochlitz.

Basic settlement units are Bratrouchov, Brno ( Berno ), Buřany, Dolni Dušnice, Dolni TRIC, Dolni Tric -sever, Horni Dušnice, Jablonec nad Jizerou, Končiny, Přední Blansko ( Vorderblansko ) Stromkovice, Vojtěšice and ZadnÃ Blansko ( Hinterblansko ).

The municipality is divided into the Katastralbezirke Bratrouchov Buřany, Horni Dušnice, Jablonec nad Jizerou and Stromkovice.
