Rovensko pod Troskami

The city Rovensko pod Troskami ( German Rowensko at Turnau ) is located in Liberec Region ( Czech Republic). In the place lived 2004 1267 inhabitants. The city is located in the middle of the nature reserve Bohemian Paradise in the micro-region Podhůří.

History

In the valley of the confluence of Veselka and Václavka the city was built under the castle Trosky. In 1371 Rovensko was first mentioned. Under the reign of the Emperor Charles IV started in place the cutting of precious stones and Bohemian garnet.
