Jan Platil

January Platil ( born February 9, 1983 in Kladno, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech ice hockey player who is since September 2011 at Orli Znojmo of the Erste Bank Hockey League contract.

Career

January Platil began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior section of the HC Kladno, for the first team, he made his debut in the Czech Extraliga during the season 1999/2000. In his rookie year, he remained no points in nine games and won two penalty minutes. Then the defender went to North America, where he from 2000 to 2003 was initially active for the Barrie Colts of the Canadian Junior Football League Ontario Hockey League. During this period, he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in the seventh round in 2001 when a total of 218 players from the Ottawa Senators. For their farm team, the Binghamton Senators, he played from 2003 to 2006 in the American Hockey League and scored in 209 games 28 scorer points, including a goal.

The 2006/07 season began with Platil Lukko Rauma in the Finnish SM- liiga. In the course of the season he moved to HK CSKA Moscow of the Russian Super League. In this he spent the following season, but with Amur Khabarovsk. For the 2008/09 season the links gunman was committed by the HC Traktor Chelyabinsk of the newly formed Kontinental Hockey League. After one and a half years in HK tractor, he returned in December 2009, returned to his Czech homeland, where he finished the 2009/10 season at HC Ocelari Třinec in the Extraliga. The 2010/11 season began Platil at his hometown club HC Kladno in the Czech Republic. In the rest of the season he was in two games for the HK Poprad in the Slovak Extraliga on the ice. In January 2011, former Czech international has signed a contract with the Nuremberg Ice Tigers, for a total of 21 games, he gave an assist to end of season and with whom he failed in the pre- playoff at the Adler Mannheim. In September 2011 he was engaged by Orli Znojmo.

Internationally

For the Czech Republic Platil participated exclusively at the U18 World Youth Championship in 2001 at junior level. In the senior level in 2007 and 2009 he was in the squad of his country at the Euro Hockey Tour and the World Cup 2007.
