Jan Schmid

January Schmid ( * November 24, 1983 in Trondheim ) is a Norwegian- Swiss Nordic combined.

Career

January Schmid holds Norwegian citizenship, but his parents were Swiss. His younger brother Tommy Schmid is also a Nordic Combined, which, however, competes for Switzerland. Schmid is a member of the Norwegian Association Sjetne IL, he is a member of the training team Granaasen ski team. By 2006, he went to the Swiss club TV Under rhinestones. Schmid lives in Trondheim in the Tiller area and studied at the University of Trondheim. At the age of 16 years belonged to the national squad Schmid of Switzerland.

His international debut for Switzerland Schmid early December 2001 in Vuokatti in B- World Cup, where in a Gundersen competition he was 24.
