Jeff Szwez

Jeffrey " Jeff" Szwez ( born June 16, 1981 in Etobicoke, Ontario ) is a Canadian- German ice hockey player who is under contract with EHC Freiburg in the hockey league since 2012.

Career

Jeff Szwez began his career as a hockey player with the Streetsville Derbys, for which he was active in the 2000/01 season in the Ontario Junior Hockey League. He then spent a year with the Kitchener Rangers in the Ontario Hockey League and was able to convince scorer with 58 points in 69 games. For the 2002/03 season the winger moved to the Augusta Lynx of the East Coast Hockey League, came in parallel but also to nine starts for the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League. The following season he joined the Dayton Bombers, stood in the following one and a half years, however, with their league rivals Florence Pride, in 2004 changed its name to Pee Dee Pride changed, under contract. The 2004/05 season he finished with his former club Dayton Bombers in the ECHL, but was also in three games for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in the AHL on the ice.

From 2005 Szwez played in parallel for the Dayton Bombers in the ECHL and their partners Syracuse Crunch in the AHL. However, towards the end of the season 2007/ 08 he moved to the Espoo Blues of the Finnish SM- liiga and failed with his new club until the playoff finals at Kärpät Oulu. For the following season the links Sagittarius returned to North America and played for the Philadelphia Phantoms in the AHL. In the 2009/10 season he scored in 45 games 61 scorer points, including 39 goals, in the British Elite Ice Hockey League for the Belfast Giants, with whom he became a master of the EIHL playoffs. In addition, he was elected to the First All -Star Team of the EIHL due to his personal success for him playing time.

For the season 2010/11, the German -Canadian has been committed by the Augsburger Panther of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. In December 2011, he asked for termination of the contract and played from January 13, 2012 at the Ravensburg Tower Stars in the 2nd Bundesliga. For the 2012/13 season changed Szwez for EHC Freiburg in the Oberliga Süd. This season he had 23 goals and 26 assists with the best player of the wolves. When choosing for Player of the Year Jeff Szwez finished in third place.
