Jennifer Tilly

Jennifer Tilly ( born September 16, 1958 as Jennifer E. Chan in Los Angeles, California) is an American actress and poker player of Chinese origin. She is the elder sister of actress Meg Tilly and romantically involved with the professional poker player Phil Laak.

Career as an actress

Tilly began her acting career in 1983. By the end of the 80s, she played several supporting roles in feature films as well as guest roles in television series such as Hill Street Blues and Remington Steele. The career breakthrough came in 1989 with her role as Blanche "Monica" Moran in The Fabulous Baker Boys alongside brothers Jeff and Beau Bridges. In 1995 she was nominated for her portrayal of a hopelessly untalented actress in Woody Allen's Bullets over Broadway for the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. Tilly is also known in horror circles for her recurring role in the film Chucky movies. She speaks to this day the voice of Bonnie Swanson in the series Family Guy.

Career as a poker player

In addition to her acting career, she successfully takes part in poker tournaments and won the 2005 inter alia, the ladies event, a Texas Hold'em event at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, Nevada with a prize money of 158,000 U.S. dollars. This tournament is known as the Women's World Championship in poker.
