Joakim Lindström
Joakim Lindström ( born December 5, 1983 in Skellefteå ) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player. Since December 2011, the Center is available at Skellefteå AIK of the Elitserien under contract.

Career
Lindström started his professional career at MODO Hockey, in which he was active until 2005 and 2002 Swedish Vice- Champion. During this time, he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2002 by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the second round by a total of 41 positions. His first appearances in North America, he had at the end of the 2004/05 season, when he. After one season at Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod in the Kontinental Hockey League Lindström signed for season 2010/11, a two-year contract with his hometown club Skellefteå AIK, for which he already played during his youth until 1999. At the end of this season with 28 goals and Lindström was a total of 60 points scorer in the top scoring player in the league 54 games. In the play-offs Skellefteå lost the finals against Färjestad BK.
On June 15, 2011 Lindström signed a one-year contract with the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League. After the Avs had it set on 29 November 2011, the Waiverliste and the Swede had been selected by any team, he returned early December 2011 back to his home to Skellefteå AIK.
Internationally
Joakim Lindström played for the Swedish national team at the U18 World Youth Championship 2001, and at the U20 World Youth Championship in 2003. Both competitions, Sweden remained without winning a medal.
