Joe Cada

Joseph "Joe" Cada ( born November 18, 1987 in Shelby Township, Michigan) is an American professional poker player. He became famous by winning the Main Event of the World Series of Poker.

Life

Joe's mother, Anne Cada is a blackjack croupier. Cada has an older brother, Jerome. His father, Jerry, worked in the automotive industry, but became unemployed during the recession in the late 2000s.

2009 Cada won the Main Event at the age of 21 years, sparking Peter Eastgate as the youngest champion ever from.

In 2011 he opened a sports and Pokerbar in Sterling Heights, Michigan, near his hometown of Shelby Township.

Tournament successes

Cada started as an online player at Full Tilt Poker and UltimateBet. At PokerStars, he plays with the nickname jcada99. Overall Cada won around 570,000 U.S. dollars in online tournaments since 2003.

At the 2009 WSOP him the success was in the main event. In addition, he could reach the cashed in two other tournaments in the WSOP.

In 2011 he succeeded in two other finishes in the WSOP 2011.

2012, Cada secured a title in a tournament as part of the PCA in 2012. During the 2012 WSOP, he still scored next two placements in the money a second place.

2013 achieved Cada at the World Series of Poker three finishes, including two fourth places.

Overall, his winnings in live poker tournaments amount to about 9.6 million U.S. dollars.
