Johanna Schaller

Johanna Klier (born Schaller; * September 13, 1952 in Artern ) is a former German track and field athlete who competed for East Germany.

Life

Johanna Klier grew up in Nordhausen on, started at the BSG Lok Nordhausen their sporting careers and is a former German hurdler who, starting in 1976 for the GDR Olympic gold medalist was at its purpose-built track, the 100 - meter hurdles.

1976, 1977, 1978 and 1980, she was the GDR champion.

At the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, she won the gold medal in the 100 - meter hurdles before Tatjana Anissimowa and Natalia Lebedjewa from the Soviet Union. At the Olympic Games in Moscow in 1980, she won the silver medal as Johanna Klier behind Wera Komissowa from the USSR and before the Polish Lucyna Langer.

Johanna Klier is 1,75 m tall and weighed 66 kg in their active time.
