Jon Gruden

Jon D. Gruden ( born August 17, 1963 in Sandusky, Ohio ) is an American football coach in the National Football League. From 2002 until January 16, 2009, he was head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His greatest achievement was winning the Super Bowl XXXVII in 2002. He was the youngest coach to ever win a Super Bowl before Mike Tomlin in 2009 replaced him as the record holder. Previously, he was from 1998 - 2001 head coach of the Oakland Raiders. He currently works as a football commentator for ESPN.

Career

Gruden attended the University of Notre Dame. After graduating, he became coach of the football team at the University of Tennessee. From 1998 to 2001 he was head coach of the Oakland Raiders and was able to move with them twice in the play-offs. In 2002 he moved to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and was with them in the first year the Super Bowl win, then he could take with them two more times in the play-offs.
