Joseph Keter

Joseph Keter ( born June 13, 1969 in Lessos, Kenya ) is a former Kenyan athlete, who won gold in Atlanta in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the 1996 Olympics.

Keter ran in 1992 with 8:21,74 min for the first time a time on an international level. In 1993 and 1994 he won at the Kenyan national championships. His first major international success was the victory at the African Championships in 1993 in Durban. 1995 ran Keter in 8:09,59 minutes the first time under 8:10 minutes.
