Alessandro Lambruschini

Alessandro Lambruschini ( born January 7, 1965 in Fucecchio ) is a former Italian hurdler.

He was in the 90s alongside the German Steffen fire the best Europeans in the 3000 -meter steeplechase and as the successor of his compatriot Francesco Panetta.

At the Olympic Games in 1988 and 1992, he finished in fourth place, respectively, and then in 1996 to win a bronze medal. At the World Championships 1993 he also won the bronze medal with his personal best time of 8:08,78 min. In all these race gold and silver went to Kenyan runners each.

His greatest successes came at the European Championships. Here he was able in 1990 to win the bronze medal, 1994, the gold medal and 1998 silver medal.
