Josef reason (Polish: Józefów ) is a town in Upper Silesia. Josef reason lies in the municipality Zülz ( Biała) in Prudnicki powiat (district Neustadt OS) in the Polish Opole Voivodeship.

Geographical Location

Josef base located six kilometers south of the parish seat Zülz, eight kilometers northeast of the county town Prudnik ( Neustadt OS ) and 40 kilometers southwest of the Opole voivodship ( Opole ).

History

The town was founded in the 18th century and was first mentioned in 1784 as " Josef reason ".

In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 Joseph base was outside the voting area. By 1945, the place was in the district of Neustadt OS

In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and renamed Józefów and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950, the city came to Opole Voivodeship and since 1999 he is part of the powiat Prudnicki. On 6 March 2006 the German Josef reason was in the community Zülz, plays, introduced as a second official language. On 24 November 2008, the City also received the official German place names Josef reason.
