Ogiernicze

Legelsdorf (Polish: Ogiernicze ) is a town in Upper Silesia. Legelsdorf located in the municipality Zülz ( Biała) in Prudnicki powiat (district Neustadt OS) in the Polish Opole Voivodeship.

Geographical Location

Legelsdorf located nine kilometers northeast of the municipal center Zülz, 19 kilometers northeast of the county town of Prudnik ( Neustadt OS) and 28 kilometers southwest of the Opole voivodship ( Opole ).

History

The town was first mentioned in 1679 as " ex villa Logewnice ". 1865 had Legelsdorf 12 Bauer, 11 gardeners and 8 smallholdings.

In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 132 voters voted to remain in Germany and 61 for Poland. Legelsdorf remained with the German Reich. By 1945, the place was in the district of Neustadt OS

In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and renamed Ogiernicze and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950, the city came to Opole Voivodeship and since 1999 he is part of the powiat Prudnicki. On 6 March 2006 the German Legelsdorf was in the community Zülz, plays, introduced as a second official language. On 24 November 2008, the City also received the official German place names Legelsdorf.
