Juraj Kolník

Juraj Kolník ( born November 13, 1980 in Nitra, Czechoslovakia ) is a Slovak- Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since June 2013 when the SCL Tigers in the Swiss National League B under contract.

Career

Juraj Kolník began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of the MHC Nitra, for the first team, he made his debut in the Extraliga in the 1997/98 season. Subsequently, the winger played two years for L' Océanic de Rimouski in the Canadian Junior Football League QMJHL. With his team he won in the 1999/2000 season first the Coupe du Président, the QMJHL championship, and then the Memorial Cup, the championship of the Canadian Hockey League. At both successes he played a big part. First, he scored a total of 61 QMJHL-S Pielen 133 points scorer and then he was elected to the All-Star team at the Memorial Cup.

From 2000 to 2002 Kolník was with the New York Islanders under contract, who had selected him in the NHL Entry Draft in 1999 in the fourth round as a total of 101 players. In addition to its operations in the National Hockey League he ran on in this period for the Lowell Lock Monsters, Springfield Falcons and Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League, where he with Bridgeport in the 2001/ 02 season until the play-off final of the Calder Cup failed on the Chicago Wolves. From 2002 to 2007, the links Sagittarius went for the Florida Panthers in the NHL for goals, where he was employed in his first three seasons in parallel in their AHL farm team San Antonio Rampage, for whom he played during the lockout in the 2004/05 season only. From 2005 to 2007, he was only in the NHL for the Panthers used.

From 2007 to 2010 Kolník played in the Swiss National League A for the Genève -Servette HC. There he was one of the strongest players in the league and was appointed respectively in the All-Star team in 2008 and 2009. Furthermore, it was during these two years each best assist provider League and 2009 in addition also top scorer. When Spengler Cup 2009 he was also appointed to the All-Star team. Due to his strong performances in Switzerland, the national team has been committed for the season 2010/11 by OHK Dynamo from the Kontinental Hockey League. For the team, however, he only played eight games in which he scored one goal and four assists. In November 2011, his contract with OHK Dynamo was dissolved by mutual agreement, after which he moved to the ZSC Lions in the Swiss National League A in late January 2012.

In the 2012/13 season he rushed for the Rapperswil -Jona Lakers of the National League A. After the contract was the end of the game is not extended at the Lakers, Kolník moved to the National League B to the SCL Tigers.

Internationally

For Slovakia Kolník took part in the U20 World Youth Championship in 2000, as well as the World Championships in 2004 and 2008 in part.
