Kadoma, Osaka

Kadoma (Japanese门 真 市, -shi ) is a city in the prefecture of Osaka in Japan.

Geography

Kadoma is located east of Osaka.

History

The city was founded on August 1, 1963.

Economy

The electronics giant Matsushita - known by the brand name Panasonic and Technics - has its headquarters in Kadoma.

Also in Kadoma is the headquarters of the Kaiyodo Group, which was known for its toy brands Revoltech. Under this name he produces extremely moving and well- positionable toy figures. Since a few years, a character called Danbo Amazon, which is selling like hot cakes in Europe and is particularly popular choice for macro photography and stop-motion movies.

Traffic

Kadoma is located on the main line of Keihan Electric Railway. Stations are Nishisanso, Kadoma -shi, Furukawabashi, Owada and Kayashima. The city has the Osaka Monorail ( Kadoma -shi Station ) to connect to the northern suburbs of the city of Osaka. With the Kadomaminami station of Nagahori - Tsurumi Ryokuchi line has Kadoma also connected to the underground Osaka.

The Kinki Expressway and the National Highway 163 pass through Kadoma.
