Kalinowice, Opole Voivodeship

Kalinowice ( German: Kalinowitz ) is a town in Poland in Upper Silesia in the community Strzelce ( United Strehlitz ) in the powiat Strzelecki in the Opole Voivodeship.

History

In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 voted 41 voters to remain in Germany and 27 for Poland. Kalinowitz remained with the German Reich. 1933 lived 412 inhabitants in the village. On 3 July 1936, the town was renamed in Elsenruh. 1939, the place had 472 inhabitants. By 1945, the place was in the district of Great Strehlitz.

In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and renamed Kalinowice and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950, the city came to Opole Voivodeship. In 1999 the place to re-founded powiat Strzelecki.
