Kari Matchett

Kari Matchett ( born March 25, 1970 in Spalding, Saskatchewan ) is a Canadian actress.

Life

Kari Matchett was born in Spalding, a small outlying village in Saskatchewan. At seven, she moved with her parents to Lethbridge, Alberta, where she attended many school courses for dance, music and acting. Here also strengthened her desire to be an actress. At the time she was 12 years old.

After another move to Red Deer and the visit of the local colleges, she was a student at the prestigious National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal. On admission, she had a lot of luck, as the University reserves the right to only 13 students per year take from over 1000 applicants. During her studies she was an exchange student at a Moscow theater school.

First stage experience gained Matchett in Stratford, before she was involved in several small roles in television productions. So also in the television series John Woo's The incomprehensible ( Once A Thief ), where they by Bill Laurin - was invited for a casting of his new TV series Power Play - one of the producers of the series. For this role, she received two Gemini Award nominations, the Canadian Emmy Award.

Notoriety she became known for the TV series Invasion and the movie Cube 2: Hypercube. They also played in the five -part television series 5ive Days to Midnight with. Most recently, she starred in the sixth season of 24. In addition, she took a recurring guest role in the 14th season of ER - Emergency Room. Currently she can be seen in the role of Joan Campbell in the series Covert Affairs. Another recurring guest role she has in the series Leverage as Maggie Collins, the ex-wife of the protagonist Nathan Ford
