Katarina Frostenson

Katarina Frostenson ( born March 5, 1953 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish author.

Frostenson studied literature, film and theater studies in Stockholm and debuted in 1978 with the poetry collection I mellan. She is the author of poetry, drama and prose, as well as a translator from French works. She is a member of Svenska academies and successor to Artur Lundkvist on seat 18 since 1992

As a playwright, she debuted in 1990 with four mono dramas for the stage, which were performed in theater and radio. Two plays have been shown at the Royal Dramatic Theatre. 2002 Kristallvägen was presented at the Stockholm Jewish Theatre. Sven- David Sandström's opera to Staden, which was performed at the Royal Opera in 1998, wrote the libretto.

Together with her husband Jean Claude Arnault, it operates are organized in Stockholm a cultural forum in the literary evenings and intercultural events.
