Keira Knightley
Keira Christina Knightley ( born March 26, 1985 in Teddington, Greater London) is a British actress.
Life and career
Keira Knightley is the daughter of actor Will Knightley and Sharman Macdonald writer and playwright. Her brother Caleb was born in 1979.
In 1992, she spent her summer vacation as a ballet dancer on stage. The first supporting roles she received in 1993 in the television series A Royal Celebration and 1994 in the drama A Village Affair.
The German TV audience for the first time she got to see return in the Rosamunde Pilcher film adaptation in 1998. A year later, she had a small appearance as a doppelganger of Natalie Portman in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace. In 2001, she starred in the thriller The Hole. In 2012 she was seen alongside Steve Carell in doomsday comedy Looking for a Friend for the End of the World. In the same year she was in Anna Karenina for Pride and Prejudice and Atonement for the third time with director Joe Wright on camera.
Knightley recruits since 2007 for a French perfume.
Currently, Knightley was named one of Forbes magazine's best-paid actresses in Hollywood. Between June 2007 and June 2008, she received fees amounting to 32 million U.S. dollars, ranking behind Cameron Diaz (50 million U.S. dollars ) in second place.
Private life
From 2003 to 2005, the Irish actor Jamie Dornan was her partner, before that she was with the actor Del Synnott ( Gwyn - Princess of Thieves ) romantically involved. From 2006 until the end of 2010, she was romantically involved with her fellow actors Rupert Friend, whom she had met during the filming of Pride and Prejudice. Knightley lived in the London Borough of Richmond.
Since February 2011, she has an affair with James Righton, the keyboardist of the Klaxons. The couple became engaged in May 2012 and married on May 4, 2013 French Mazan.
Others
2007 Keira Knightley sued the British newspaper Daily Mail because of their claim that the slim actress was suffering from eating disorders. Due to the coverage they feared a lack of role offers. They rejected such rumors and also announced the seriousness of the disease was her aware of her family because of cases.
In April 2009, a TV spot against domestic violence has been produced in which Knightley plays the main role. For British TV but the TV spot had to be cut to the scenes, in which there has been the actress lying on the ground.
