Mazan
Mazan is a commune with 5791 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Vaucluse in Provence -Alpes- Côte d' Azur region.
Location
Mazan is located on the southern flank of the Mont Ventoux, 6 km from Carpentras and 20 km from Avignon. Due to the location of Auzon flows.
History
Mazan was first mentioned in 982 under the name of Villa Madazano.
Mazan was long a fief of the House Sade.
Twinning
1986 closed Mazan a partnership agreement with the Swiss community Moudon Canton of Vaud.
