Le Beaucet

Le Beaucet is a commune of 350 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011 ) in the department of Vaucluse and the Provence- Alpes- Côte d' Azur.

The village with its narrow streets situated on steep, pierced by caves rocks. The center of Beaucet is reserved exclusively for pedestrians. Le Beaucet is a typical Provencal mountain village and was built mainly of dry masonry. Some of the built into the rock houses are of the house type ago troglodytes.

The community is mainly oriented north- south. The highest point is located in the south of the Monts de Vaucluse. Maximum depth is the level at Saint -Didier in the north.

Location

The community is located about four kilometers south of Saint -Didier. It fits in the western foothills of the Monts de Vaucluse and is located near La Roque- sur -Pernes, Pernes- les -Fontaines and Venasque. To the south lie the towns of Saumane -de- Vaucluse, Fontaine -de- Vaucluse, Gordes and the Luberon Valley.
