Villes-sur-Auzon

Villes- sur -Auzon is a municipality with 1297 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the French department of Vaucluse in the Provence- Alpes- Côte d' Azur.

Geography

Villes- sur -Auzon situated at 300 m above sea level. M., about 17 km east of the town of Carpentras. The wine village located on the edge of the Plateau de Vaucluse at the foot of Mont Ventoux.

Economy

Villes- sur -Auzon is the easternmost municipality in the wine -growing region Côtes du Ventoux. The grapes are merged with those of the neighboring Mormoiron vinified and marketed through a cooperative.

Attractions

At the exit begins towards Sault, 17 km long road (D 942) through the impressive Gorges de la Nesque.
